Besides my hands smelling like rubber after the workout, the pads work like a charm! I was able to lift a lot heavier weight without
my hands hurting. Love my grip pads!
The simplicity of these can not be overstated. They perfectly fit any size hand connecting to dumbbells, heavy bars, easy bars, pull-up racks, etc. and are a terrific, economical alternative to those who like neither calluses or wearing gloves (smell, style, irritation). I’ve even doubled them up behind my neck for squats. They assist in gripping, don’t emit smell, are easy to wash and help you eek out that final rep. They only down-side I see is the obvious: losing one means you need a new set and misplacing them is easy to do since they’re not attached. Recommend!
Great Addition To Your Gym Bag, October 16, 2012
Exactly what I was looking for! I generally do not like to wear gloves at the gym. However, I have been ripping up my hands doing deadlifts. Then one day I saw another member using these and had to ask where he got them and I haven’t looked back since. So easy to keep in your pocket and use them when needed. Love these things!

this product gives the grip that you need for heavy ligting. for once my hands dont hurt! it is a great buy!!!!
kinda similar to the black padding on the gym floor, really thing though, flexes well and helps with the the greasy bars people leave behind sometimes. i like the grip feel of them too, i hate gloves so these work well for me.
I’ve been using this for a week and can say it is a good product, works well for most exercises, so far I’ve only had difficulty with positioning on heavy dumbbell presses, hopefully this will improve as I get used to using these or I’ll just glove up for those.
The pads provide nice and soft grip and substantially reduce the risk of incurring calluses and bleeding. I’m enjoying my workout more with these protective pads. They are nice substitution for gloves. However, one noticeable disadvantage is the strong rubber smell. Make sure to wash your hands with soap after using the pads.
Gloves weaken grip strength – this is a known fact when it comes to lifting. Unfortunately, lifting without gloves leads to rough, torn up palms, that may be manly in some ways, but sucks to have if you are a professional that depends on your hands (ie physician or someone that depends on having hands that aren’t rough and calloused).
Grip power pads have solved two issues for me at an affordable price – I no longer have to worry about loss of grip strength (especially on those dead lifts) and I no longer have to worry about having rough torn up palms that make patients cringe during a physical exam.
Will definitely buy again and I highly recommend these to anyone who lifts regularly.
I do Cross-fit 5 times a week but my grip sucks..
These pads help me hold on to the bar for a couple extra reps every time!!
These pads provide much better grip than any gloves I’ve tried. My workout partner used them too and said all the equipment should be coated in this stuff. The only to downsides I have noticed is the smell of rubber is kind of strong to me and trying to reposition your grip once you have started doing reps.
