I was a little wary buying these and debated between getting the pads or gloves. I figured I would like the feel of gloves since they would be firmly on my hand, whereas the pads would just loosely sit between the palms and the weights.
But I was wrong. The pads are definitely the right choice. I’ve heard stories from friends about their expensive gloves ripping and tearing- I haven’t had any problem, nor do I foresee any problem, with the pads. They are very comfortable and provide a great barrier between my palms and the weights. The fact that they don’t sit so fixed on the hands probably makes it better for avoiding calluses and other stretching/tearing that can irritate your skin and detract from your actual goal of lifting.
I’ve already recommended these to a few friends, and do not hesitate in recommending these to you!
